Swope Health Imani House

The Imani House Substance Use Disorder program at Swope Health Services is an established and recognized community partner in combating drug abuse in Jackson County. Imani House is an adult substance use disorder program that has served over 10,000 individuals since it's open in 1992.

The program provides evidence-based services within three levels of care, based on individual needs. Program components are designed to address the wide range of problems impacting substance use: complex family relationships, legal, financial, trauma, employment, housing, mental health and chronic medical issues. These issues often trigger substance use and complicate recovery.

Each client is also offered community support through our DMH certified CSTAR program. Imani House clients benefit from our “one stop shop” physical and behavioral health care as well. Many of the Imani House clients have psychiatric disorders and are offered psychiatric services, and their physical, dental and vision can also all be addressed at Swope Health.

Our clients are those who are 18 years of age or older and have a pattern of illicit drug use; this includes but is not limited to people who use IV drugs; pregnant women who are Jackson County Drug Court participants anb supervised through probation-parole; individuals who are homeless and high utilizers of the ER's.
