COMBAT Community Picnic 2017

Join us in celebrating recovery and drug and violence prevention at Jackson County COMBAT's Community Picnic! This year's theme is "Hear Our Voices." By sharing our stories and experiences, we are able to promote Hope. Action. Change.

11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This is a free, family-friendly event with activities for all ages including a petting zoo, music, basketball, games, facepainting and much more!

11 a.m. The event will kick off with a special performance by Hogan Preparatory Academy drum line. 

At the main stage, elected officials will welcome guests followed by a local testimony of the importance of violence prevention in our communities.

11:30 a.m. Enjoy hot dogs & hamburgers hot off the grill and then cool off with water, chips and ice cream. All food will be served while supplies last.

11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Performances from Hailey Massingale band, spoken word, rap, song and the Lyricism 101 team from The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City, who competed nationally in Atlanta, Georgia.

COMBAT- funded agencies will have games and prizes to hand out to everyone. Stop by their table and learn more about programs and resources in your community.
