Prescription Drug Collection Locations
Prescription drug abuse occurs when someone takes a prescription drug that was prescribed for someone else or in a manner or dosage other than what was prescribed. To prevent this abuse, it is important to dispose of unwanted or expired medications.
MedReturn Drug Collection Units dispose of unwanted or expired medications in a safe, sustainable and secure receptacle. Since 2016, Lee's Summit CARES, a nonprofit community coalition and COMBAT-funded partner, has purchased five MedReturn receptacles to be placed around the Lee's Summit community and Eastern Jackson County.
